As an Automotive General Service/Lube Technician you will have an opportunity to further your career in the automotive industry. Depending on your skill level you will be responsible for servicing vehicles with basic services such as oil changes, lubrication, tire mounting, tire balancing, and tire rotations. You will have maintenance and cleaning responsibilities, as well as interacting with customers both in the shop and while operating our company shuttle.

General Service/Lube Technician Position Responsibilities

  •  This entry level position includes performing basic maintenance services such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  •  Duties will vary depending on your skill level and expand depending on your ability to learn.
  •  Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection, and the needed repairs to service advisors and customers as required.
  •  Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools and techniques.
  •  Professionally record findings so that necessary customer estimates and proper repairs can be made.
  •  You must be dedicated to investing time to training and furthering your education in the automotive industry.
  •  Beckwith’s Car Care provides ongoing training for all of our staff members.

General Service/Lube Technician Position Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience working in the industry as an automotive general service or lube technician is preferred.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • Own basic tools.
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment.

OPEN POSITION: Automotive Diagnostic Technician

As an Automotive Diagnostic Technician you will quickly identify the cause of automotive performance problems, in addition to proactively servicing vehicles before issues develop.

Automotive Diagnostic Technician Position Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose and repair vehicle automotive systems including: engine, transmission, electrical, steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
  •  Explain problems discovered during vehicle inspection, and the needed repairs to service advisors and customers as required.
  •  Continuously seek out and learn new technical information, equipment, tools and techniques.
  •  Professionally record findings so that necessary customer estimates and proper repairs can be made.

Automotive Diagnostic Technician Position Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in the industry as an automotive technician.
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  •  Minimum of 5 years’ experience problem solving and conducting both mechanical and electrical diagnostics.
  • Own appropriate professional grade tools and diagnostic equipment.
  • Master ASE certification is preferred.
  • Safe working knowledge of shop tools and equipment such as: scanners, electrical diagnostic equipment, A/C recovery equipment, fluid exchange equipment, lift operation, etc.
